Place Steel Deck By Entering Data Points
- Complete a deck specification using the controls and settings on the Place Deck dialog.
- Select Boundary from the Place By: drop-down menu.
- Press the Place button. The tool prompts you with Place First Point.
- Enter a data point to establish the first corner of the deck boundary. The tool now prompts you with Place Next Point.
- Enter a second data point to establish the second corner of the deck boundary. The tool continues prompting you with Place Next Point.
- Repeat until you have traced a closed boundary for the deck, and Reset (right click). The tool now prompts you with Place first point to define deck extrude direction.
- Enter a data point anywhere in the design space. The tool now prompts you with Place the next point to accept.
- Enter another data point in the direction in which you want the steel decking to be oriented. The deck is placed, and the Place Deck tool resumes ready to place another deck. You are prompted with Place First Point.
